I love healthy food laden with with flavour…I do not like depriving myself in the food department.
My background…I was always naturally slim and never had to worry about my weight…then I had children. It was a shock to my system. For the first time in my life, I had to re-evaluate my eating and because full-on dieting was never going to be an option for me and I did not have time to go to the gym. Instead, I adopted small, manageable changes to my eating habits. I found that consistently eating healthily (and walking) did help me lose weight in a gradual, manageable way…I managed to get back to a size 10.
Then I had another baby and back to square one. However, I now know how easy it is to eat healthily—I like making food from scratch or I know what options to select when eating out. I strive to minimize carbs where I can and I try to limit snacking. The best thing though…I still love and look forward to my meals.
